Twilight: It's not worth it

PLEASE READ RIGHT TO LEFT
I have read the first of the Twilight series, Twilight.
I was intrigued, but it was not gripping, the plot was not substancial, nor were the sub plots completely played out to the end. The characters had little depth and no flaws, or very minor ones that weren't able to change the plot in any way, shape or form.
I found meself wishing I had that day back that it took me to read the book.
